Profile
David was born in Perth. His mum and dad were teachers and placed emphasis on learning. He grew up like most kids in the 60’s and 70’s, riding bikes, playing cricket and footy - and roving the neighbourhood. He tended to be a bit of a handful at school. Most reports said “..could try harder”. Uni in Perth, played AFL for the Uni Footy Club (and still remembers the club song). He took a year off during Medicine to live in England, working in different factories, stacking 50kg bags of stone and sand on pallets, and putting plastic linings in paper bags.

David moved to Melbourne to finish his OB-GYN training and loved both the cafes and the footy vibe (still AFL). He moved to Sydney where he completed his Doctorate in Medicine. Over this period he also had time to help raise three kids and four dogs. His pastimes now include philosophy, quantum mechanics and watching his kids grow up. He enjoys finding out how things work and thinking about what things are of value in his life. His passion for finding solutions to complex problems combined with his tremendous experience in medicine has led to innovative and successful approaches to both patients' aspirations and life choices.

He still lives in Sydney. He still plays footy. Some day when he grows up he would like to write stories.
